Golf
Looking to tee off on a challenging, picturesque country course close to Melbourne? Come and play a round in Moorabool.
Try your luck on the championship layout course at Bacchus Marsh Golf Club or the friendly country club at Ballan. Greens, sand scrapes, water features and challenging courses. What more could you want for a great game of golf?
Make it a golfing holiday. Stay at one of the region’s fantastic accommodation venues and have a round or two on each course. Make sure you book ahead if you are after a weekend game as most clubs have weekend competitions for club members.
Most clubs offer an ‘honour’ green fee system where you can have a ‘walk up’ game. Play and stay. It’s a golfer’s paradise.

Bob (BMGC Handicapper). "This club offers a great drought proof course and a real value for money game. Enjoy the golf, our full club house facilities, restaurant, bar and well stocked Pro shop."
Mark Speakman (Assistant Club Professional): "My tip for playing the 17th Lake water feature – Hit & Drive Straight over the lake. Smaller hitters play left or get wet!"
Ken (BMGC Treasurer): "Why wouldn’t you want to play at Bacchus Marsh. Great greens & interesting challenging course. Every hole is a bit different."
Ballan Golf Club
Club Member: "Prettiest country course around and a real challenge. Only a 62 par course but only ONE player has gone four under par and that was in 1924. Can you do it?"
